So you’ve gotten older and your body just doesn’t look like it did when you were in high school. Although you’ve tried and tried, the weight just won’t come off. You reflect back on your high school days and ponder how it was possible that you could eat whatever you wanted in those days and not gain a pound. Now you’re constantly fighting the battle of the bulge.
Don’t get discouraged. There are many weight loss tips that can help you melt those pounds away. One of the reasons losing weight is such a challenge is our metabolism slows down as we get older. At times it even feels as though it completely stops. While age can be a factor, it should never be used as an excuse for weight gain. When you take a hard look around you’ll see there’s people of all ages who are fit and trim.
The secret to reducing those unwanted pounds is to practice portion control and increase the amount of time that you exercise. Simply said, eat smaller amounts of food and increase your work out sessions. Nutrition has always been and will always be important.
Personal Fitness Routine: TV’s toughest trainer wants you to lose weight with a free plan
Do a little research and find out what works best for you. There’s a plethora of weight loss tips online. If you have access to the internet do a little surfing. You’ll discover virtual fitness trainers, recipes, and weight loss tips are in abundance.
If you can’t get on the internet, do a little channel surfing. There’s many tv shows that provide instructions on how to lose weight quickly. My favorite is “The Biggest Loser.” It’s quite impressive to watch the contestants shed pounds as a result of their hard work and the guidance of their personal trainers. The ages of the contestants range from the twenty’s to the fifties and they all tend to hold their own It just goes to show how powerful motivation, determination, and the will to succeed really are.
Another reason why I enjoy watching The Biggest Loser is because of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper. Not only are they well qualified to help the contestants lose weight, but they also give sound advice. Jillian and Bob realize that you must have the right mind-set before you can lose weight. A person with a positive mental attitude will achieve their goal more quickly than one who is negative.
I believe in Jillian Michaels so much that I have become an Affiliate and now offer her weight loss program. I receive a commission when you sign up for her weight loss program through one of my links, such as this one:
Meet Your Online Coach: TV’s toughest fitness guru’s NEW workout to drop that weight!
Recently, “The Biggest Loser” television show released an “Application” which can be downloaded on Blackberry phones. It’s only available for those who have Verizon as their carriers. You simply text the letters “BL” to 8606 and shortly thereafter, you’ll receive a text with the download instructions. It’s great because it allows you to input your weight loss goals, calculates your Body Weight Mass (BMI), as well as your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). There’s tips for various exercises, fitness, recipes, nutrition info, and many other options. Try it. I’ll be surprised if you don’t like it as much as I do.
It’s crucial to believe in yourself as you start your quest to lose weight. Self motivation is sometimes hard to find when it comes to exercising. So find a partner, hit the gym or work out in your home. Take walks with a group of co-workers on your lunch hour, eat properly and watch those portions. It’s not too late to develop the life skills that will help you maintain your ideal weight. Success comes with repetition. Does old age equal weight gain? Of course not.
